Welcome the_bird. You know the bird is the word. :)

That Ms. Bonnie might not go that high. I've seen quite a few on ebay lately.

Shangrila on the other hand. Those are one of the most sought after. Though as mikeg said you can get them displayed sometimes for a better price. I picked up one loose for under $30. Though it was missing the closed canopy. :?

Be persistent, and don't give up.

I just have a hard time stomaching these 32x planes going for so much these days  Guess I'm still not quite over the fact that these were once available at Wal Mart and TRU for somewhere between $15 and $20 just a few years ago.

Besides, "Mrs. Bonnie" is just such a garrish-looking aircraft! I have one and hardly ever display it - there were so many better P-51D schemes 21c could have chosen over that one! "Shangri-La" is a different story in terms of looks and I guess the fact that it was at TRU made it more hard to find...

Welcome to the forum, the_bird. :D

Just some friendly advice. If you are going to be bidding on a particular model, don't know if it is a good idea to "adverstise" it on the forum. You might just end up bidding against another member here. But on the other hand, members might not want to bid against a fellow forum member.

Wonder what American Greanadier feels about this?

I think that some prices for these 21 Century 1/32 are getting pretty high, considering what they retailed for. But it is supply and demand. If the aircraft is available in 1/32 by Corgi, or 1/35 from GMP, and in diecast metal, can't see spending a lot for a 21 C plastic one.

But I have picked up a few 1/32 Corsairs lately, and they haven't been cheap. Approaching the price of a 1/18 one.

But if you want a 1/32 FW 190, Corsair, Me 262, P-47 etc, 21 century is the only game in town. Have to "pay to play "

Saw that. No idea why somebody would pay that much for a 21C 1/32.

Reminds me of Harry's FW190.

Funny sometimes how the price fluxuates on these planes. Just depends on folks spending moods at the time I guess. I have also noticed lately how many of the 21st planes have been bid on very high by bidders with -0- or very little feedback history. Why would E-bay newbie's bid so high without a history of collecting the planes is curious to me. :?

WTF

You can get a full metal diecast of this in 1/48, by a great company for less than $100.

I really don't get it.

21C 1/32 are worth $60 - $70 tops. And that is for the rare ones as well.

Just makes me wonder why the molds are just sitting around gathering dust instead of being used for new product. I'd jump on the P-51D one with new schemes since I never liked the Miss Bonnie scheme. Haven't heard any rumours for the smaller scale in quite awhile...

You can also build the very same plane, probably with more detail in 1:32. For the amount of money forked over I would attempt it rather than pay these prices.

Just goes to show ya there's a market out there for pre-built 1:32 models. I wish Allgo and BBI or someone would notice this.

Though I guess it helps the rarity because the 21stC Shangri La was a TRU exclusive. :?

I'm watching this one with interest, though I have no plans to part with my 2.

Well, at least some people are making money off fools.

Wish some fools would come sniffing around my auctions...
