well they look better than the Pz IV F2/Gs(speaking of the 234s) and the SPz Marder (Modern Armour) looks good too.

Looks very promising. I just placed an order for the 234/2. I think that panzerstahl's 234/1 looks good as well!! :D

Great looking model. Hopefully it looks as good in the flesh as on the photos. Mesh looks interesting and looks like both 20mm and MG will be hollow, something I would love to see HM do.

I have pulled the trigger on 234/4 and still waiting. Now I regret a little bit, coz I like yellow-pinkish better.

Cheers

Panzerstahl 88017 234/4 Pakwagen review

Post by StormyThoughts » Wed Dec 29, 2010 3:11 pm

I have received Panzerstahl 234/4 today and must say that I am very pleased. It comes in a display case, identical to Dragons, with 2 screws keeping it tight to the base. I didn't unscrew it, so can't really say how the wheels work. PAK40 gun is nicely rendered, IMO better and more accurate than HMs (judging from the photos) I couldn't move the barrel though. It is better detailed than HMs version (note: engine deck, wheels, gun breach). My only complaint is quite big gap in the front, where lower and upper hull seam is. Also tire thread is wrong and HM got it better than PS. Paint work is superb, where camo HM 234s look a bit like painted with brush, PS rendition has nice spray effect with just little weathering. Interior is painted in what looks like a red primer (don't know if its accurate or not). It's hard to say if there is any metal content present, personally I couldn't find any. Overall I am more than very happy with it and if PS will continue to release models of this quality, HM might get a serious competitor in the ground vehicles area.

Nice review.

As soon as I recieve my puma (which could be a week) I will post a review as well.
The sdkfz 234/4 looks very good, but unfortunately I may pass on this piece. I am thinking of getting the 234/1 next. Nevertheless the sdkfz 234/4 looks awesome. I also have seen a pinkish-yellow version of this from PZS as well. I,however, like the ambush scheme more.
