Wonderful time to be in the hobby.

Today I got three new 72nd scale models in, and each one is a beauty. I got a Century Wings A-6, a Century Wings A-7, and a Witty Wings F-15. As I was putting the models together it really hit me what a great hobby this is. Just a few years ago models this nice were not even a dream, now the various makers are knocking them out of the ball park. I even caught myself saying "wow" as I opened the A-6 kit. I am so excited to see 72nd scale doing well, and looks like I am going to need some more shelf space. :D

Congrats on picking up some Century Wings, Sabrefan. They are very nice.

It is a great time to be collecting 1/72. Corgi are still making lots of models, and with Century Wings and Hobby Master coming in, there are some really great quality models to be had. Skymax is putting out some nice models as well, and Gemini Aces are also producing some good quality models.

Witty Wings have finally given collectors "gear up" options. However Dragon hasn't released any aircraft in a number of years, but can still be had for relatively cheaply.

1/48 lost its three big names with Franklin Mint not making aircraft any more, and Carousel and Eagles International going under. However Hobby Master is doing some 1/48, and are expanding this line.

1/32 got a bit of a boost with Corgi doing another Spitfire, Me 109, and Mosquito. And HM continue to do new schemes of their excellent Dauntless. Perhaps they will do other 1/32 aircraft.

So particularly in 1/72, we have more variety than ever before, and the quality keeps getting better.

1:18 and even 1:32 may be dead, but things are really booming in 1:72 scale! A ton of great models have been coming out, particularly from Hobby Master. Keep it coming 8)

I got a Century Wings A-6
Outstanding model IMO. I just received a CW "Green Knights" A-6 that I sniped off ebay for $50 delivered, and I'm very pleased with it. Now I've got a CW "Black Knights" F-14 on the way to keep my Truder' company... I hope CW will expand their 1/72 line, these are simply outstanding models in every respect.

Love the Century Wings A-6 and A-7. They sure look great parked side by side. :D
