Avro CF-105 Arrow 1/72 Die Cast Model
"201"
Item #: CWH003
A technical and aerodynamic tour de force from the Canadian aviation industry, the delta-winged CF-105 interceptor held the promise of Mach 2 speeds at altitudes exceeding 50,000 feet, but the Arrow program was abruptly and controversially halted in 1959. The second release in the new Canadian Heritage Series of aircraft produced by the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, this limited edition, 1/72 scale, die cast model of that iconic CF-105 is a real beauty.
Replicating the first of five Arrows produced and tested before the program was cancelled (this aircraft was rolled out on October 4, 1957, but was overshadowed by the launch of Sputnik the same day), this model features a detailed, two-seat cockpit with an opening canopy; realistic air intakes and engine exhausts; optional-position air brakes and landing gear; and an authentic paint scheme. It’s so complete, you even get a boarding ladder! 13¾” long; includes a display stand.
