Century Wings F-8 Crusader.... YEA!
Century Wings F-8 Crusader.... YEA!
I got a Century Wings F-8 Crusader yesterday, and I am quite pleased with it. They really got the lines right on this model, and from every angle it looks right. Going to have to get their A-7 Corsair next. Great model.

Well done ,skyraider.
Is this your first CW model?
Seems like there is no love for the F-8 Crusader, and these can be bought for relatively cheap. Not quite sure why, as it is a very good model. Probably partly due to the repetitive schemes, and the high production runs.
The A-7 Corsair is also a good model, and you will enjoy it as well. Plus it comes with an impressive amount of ordinance. The only issue is a rather noticeable join line on the inside of the intake.
CW have just released a batch of new models, with at least one new version of all the aircraft that they do.
Including a French Crusader. A bold choice, that I hope does better than their previous Crusaders.

I agree, the Crusader is a nice looking model. I have always like the look of the F-8. I will getting the French Crusader for sure. Thanks for letting me know about that one snake.

Maybe they are not so popular because they are Vietnam Era and not famous like the Phantom as opposed to the better known WW2 and modern F series aircraft?

Being from the Vietnam era myself, I remember the planes and have one of each of the Crusaders, Intruders etc. and really like the models. And I don't think there were good diecast versions of those planes until Century Wings did them.
