little birdy told me....HM F106

Post by iballdriver » Fri Aug 27, 2010 8:31 pm

Sent a "cold call" to HM via their website yesterday and had a rather enjoyable exchange with one of their PR people.
long/short of it: F106 won't be pushed out 'til 3rd or 4th Quarter of 2011....and it might be n the 48th FIS scheme.....below is the email exchange.....bottom is the start....

No problem.

Thank you.

William,
Thanks again for sharing this information. I am a member of small scale military hq website. I'm sure the HM fans over there would enjoy reading your insights, but only with your permission will i post what you have written me.
take care,

Hi B,

We can make one of those in 48th FIS color for no

problem.

Thanks for the insight, William. When HM does launch the 106, perhaps

it could be in the 48th scheme? :) Thanks again for your

time,

b

Hi

B,

We may not make the F-106 so soon. After the F-102, we

will

be making a few others. Perhaps in 3rd or 4th quarter in 2011 we

will make

the F-106.

Thank you for the patience.

William, i apologise for that. here is a link

with LOTS of F106 pics

& in various paint schemes...attached are

the pics of the 48th FIS. my

dad was stationed down at Lanley AFB

back in the early 80's and i remember

watching the f-106s flying

overhead all the time. what was most impressive

was when they were

scrambled for a Bear intercept off the east coast. the

rumble of the

jets was unmistakeable. Thanks for the prompt reply- have a

great

weekend,
brian

Hello!

Love the product

you are

releasing. I would love,

LOVE,

to see HobbyMaster

release the f102

and f106 in the 48

FIS

colors. Will you

be releasing the Dagger

Dart

and Delta Dart in

the

48th

scheme?

Please??
thanks,
bxxx

HM seem to have fantastic customer, and forum support. :D

The F-102 will be coming out soon, and they already have two schemes for this. With probably more on the way.

That will hold me over till the F-106 is released.
