Corgi 72nd scale Halifax

Post by mosquitomania » Fri Aug 20, 2010 9:56 pm

Hello guys,

Anyone have a Corgi 72nd scale Halifax bomber? I really like the look of the Halifax, and would like some opinions on this model.

I had 2 and sold them off, not that was anyhting wrong with them, I just didn't have room for them at the time. I have since decided to buy one back and also buy the upcoming Coastal Command version.

The Halifax's are very nice, not as much metal as the Lancaster, but still a very nice model and I recommend picking one up. I recommend the Barton or Friday the 13th version the most if you can get one, with the desert/Berlin Airlift versions coming in last.

Thank you, I ordered the Friday the 13th version. I really like the paint scheme on that one. What can you tell me about their other heavy bombers, like the B-17, B-24, and the Lancaster?

Here is a link to Tricatus' website. He runs what is basically the Corgi bible, all the Corgi collectors use it for reference and for informational purposes.

As hworth has said, the Tricatus site is great for checking out the Corgi models.

The Corgi "heavies" are great models, although a few of them have some flaws.Mainly gap issues.

I am sure you will enjoy your Halifax, mosquitomania.

And the Lancasters, B-24's, and B-17's are just as nice,if not better.

Give us a review when you get it.
