Just announced by HM's William on The Diecast Hangar Pub is the A-26 which will be released early in 2011. Pre-pro pictures are included in William's post. BTW, I should correct my TBD announcement of yesterday. It appears that this will be a SkyMax release.

Awesome! I have wanted an A-26 in any scale for quite some time as this is one of my favorite aircraft. I figured it would either be Corgi or HM that would produce one and they should have no shortage or variants and paint schemes to choose from. Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait

OK, let's see if this works. I assume that William won't mind and will delete the pictures if he does.Image[/img]ImageImage[/img]

nice, but I would have liked a MTO A-20 more

HM needs to work on combining their pieces in themes more..like FoV does/did and Corgi does kinda instead of just piecemeal products.

as to posting photos if not marked themselves of the source, it's always good internet tact to acknowledge the original poster/site.

William also mentioned on the other mesage board that solid-nose and glass-nose versions, etc. will be released.

I had a Monogram A-26 when I was a kid, so I'll probably get HM's version.

I just had an airplne nerdgasm :D Now both my favorite planes are here, the Skyraider and now the Invader. I can't wait and make sure they have tip tanks. Now someone needs to make a Mohawk and a Bronco and then the best of the VN era sitting ducks will be mine.

I thought I'd done that in my original post.

you did, I was adding that, since we were talking of posting photos from other threads for those who didn't know.

It is in 1/72.

Great new release from HM/Skymax.They sure are giving us a bunch of fantastic new releases the last couple of months. :D

The A-26 has been wanted for a long time, and this should make many collectors very happy. At least one for me.

This is a direct threat to Corgi, in the medium bomber category.

I hope this will be a success for HM/SM, and they follow through with a B-26 and A-20. 8)

I am tempted on the FOV B-26, i found them for 40ish shipped, in the silver w/invasion stripes, the OD green is a bit more.

but as with any FOV I am fearful of spending money on soft pieces, which is why I still have snagged a 4500 truck yet..as I am just not impressed with the tooling or the paint..would have rather had a solid grey early war, or gelb late war heer, also I would have like markings and plates on the truck.

If HM does a B-26 or B-25, since someone said they share moulds with Corgi..as with their 110s. < Don't qoute me as true on that..it was in a post I read comparing Gs vs Gs and I just remembered that remark.

I would def pick up something eariler than the A-26...but the A-26 will prob end up somewhere in the man cave.

Still would love either Corgi or HM to do a Junkers 188A/E(Daimler vs BMW engines)
