Hpbby Master To Do A TBD

Just saw a post by HM's William on The Diecast Hanger Pub forum to the effect that a TBD is finally in the works. Though no scale was mentioned, I assume it's 1:72nd. William has also posted some pre-pro pictures. Since I'm not sure whether it's OK to post those here, I didn't, but they look very promising.
BTW, William also posted pictures of a 1:72nd scale Priest that HM is adding to its armor line.

A TBD in 1:72? What a tease. Bring on the 1:32 or 1:48!

What's the problem, Panzer_M.

Since I've did an account there I never been able to access a postable forum under my screenname..contacted the Admin months ago to fix the problem..he reset my password..tried that still no access was given.
I would log in, and get the message No Forums exist on the index page..but i could read only as a unlogged guest fine..but couldn't see pictures and such..so as a guest it's worthless for info.
after I made several emails to the admin and the prob wasn't addressed I figured he just didn't care or bother to fix the issue. And I figured for a "toy" forum..it wasn't worth the hassle to continue.
This why I went to DAC, which i have no problems logging and posting on.
although I admitt it doesn't have the traffic of Diecast Pub.

Surprising, as the admins at DHP seem to be very on top of the situation.
Not sure why you are having trouble.
Why not give it another go?
I am sure admins would work with you to resolve any problems.

Just sent an email tonight(when I went to see the TBD and M7) to the admin to just delete my account so I can start over
then I shot another email off to Dave@hobbymaster Collector to see what the heck is up with the North American releases, I got my 234/3 to me on Aug. 7th(with none to yet reach the US vendors), and to get the pics of the new HM toolings.

I might actually buy such an unusual plane as the TBD in 1/72. Anything but 1:48 please, but I would prefer 1:32.
I'm thinking they'll do three schemes, Pre-War, Coral Sea and Midway no?

OK. As requested, here are the pre-pro pictures of the TBD and Priest as posted by HM's William on The Diecast Hangar Pub yesterday. As with the A-26 pictures on another thread, I will remove these if William has any objections.

love the M7 sculpt, the TBD..while outside of my interest.
Now HobbyMaster needs to do a PzKpfw III F(Blitzkrieg/DAK) and a PzKpfw IV H/J or for something truely different a 6.Panzer Division PzKpfw. 35(t)

Again, another great new release for HM.
Personally, not for me, but lots of collectors have been asking for this model.
HM seem to be on a roll lately, with lots of fantastic releases coming. And they are getting quite a bit of my diecast dollars.

1/72 I'm guessing?
Um, where's the corrugated wings? That would be a glaring mistake. Back to the drawing board?

it still a pre-production.
Email them and tell the error and they might fix it.
the 234s have errors too..well not errors lack of details. front jerry cans, Division/tactical insignias, weathering(like the common rust on mufflers)
Sometimes EasyModel does a better job on their weathering than HM, like with EM's T-34/85 White 36, dirt, rust, has the look of wear and tear, now the 234/2 and 234/3 just fail..epic fail at the lived in/used look IMO.
Dragon armour in 1/72 still beats HM's offering hand down. But then it's easier to do sharp and crisp in plastic vs diecast, and add to that Dragon is make pre-built scale models kits vs toys which is what HM is making when it comes down to it.

Surely HM knows these things. Like you say pre-production.
I dunno, you think they would drop the project if they had to corrugate the wings?
Then again the Corgi Junkers JU-86, the whole dang thing is corrugated or should be right? (I don't have one..yet)

it is, I have this one, and the Mine-sweeper, and had to go open the box and peak inside, as I never thought to look.

The issue of the corrugated ribbing on the TBD's wings has been brought to HM's attention by members of The Diecast Hangar Pub and we are awaiting an answer. I hope that HM realizes that it can't do a TBD "smoothie" and expect collectors to swallow it.

Good news, guys. The wings do have the ribbing. It doesn't show up well on the photos.
