McCluskey Dauntless at FM...again!

I thought this model was out of production and that Flying Mule had just "found" four of them. I bought one and was (still am) glad to have it. Then the offereing disappeared off the Flying Mule website. But I have seen reappear and have even ordered a second one. And it is still on the FM website. So, was this really retired? I haven't see it anywhere else but how does FM have sooo many of them?

BTW, Hobby Masters in Hong Kong has been terrific in working with me to get replacement props for my droopy ones. So far I only have the one but they are sending me two props to cover the second one that is on order. I'm sold on HM's quality and customer service after the sale.

Both the Mule and Rezz have gotten some OOP stuff in recently

I picked the "Bitch" M4 Sherman(7.Armoured US) at Rezz this weekend for a steal of a price.

I also got two of the Großdeutschland Kursk '43 251/1 ausf.C for 15$, from my Panther guy..and I can flip one of those on eBay for 30$ easy.

FM was supposed to be holding a replacement for mine with the goofed paint. I hope they did and zzzipper didn't get it.

Thanks. Yoxford defined OOP and OOS for me.

I don't do ebay, that's why I don't know Rezz.

Thanks again!

Well, HM only did 900 of the McCluskey Dauntless. That's it.

They are releasing some other schemes.

But no more McCluskey versions. So you have a very limited model.[s].

Occasionally, dealers find and list some models that have been unavailable for quite some time.Possibly purchased from another collector, or dealer. The Flying Mule recently picked up a large amount of models from a dealer that went under in Oregon. And some rare ones that hadn't been on the market in quite some time.Good chance to pick up a rare model, as long as the price is right. Not always the case.

What did you pay for your second McCluskey, zzzipper?

Dont worry now that you bought a rare model it will show in droves

I just got two of the "rare" OOP Normady Panther G w/zimmer "135" I was on ebay today and one seller from the UK posted 3 of them.

So that is 5 within 10 days that came up for sale...after 1 showed up in the last 6 months.

Snake, I paid FM's going rate of $169. My main problem with buying another is that now I can't justify buying a Dick Best...though that hasn't proven to be much of a problem in the past!

As far as retired pieces showing up, that's why I keep my eye open for a FOV Matilda.

I still hope you didn't get the last Dauntless

I hope they put one aside for me to exchange.
