Post by AMERICAN_GRENADIER » Fri Jul 16, 2010 10:22 am

i just received the new MRC Stug III C/D # 36138

after the success of the Char series they have followed up with another winner. the detailing and paint are great. it really gives collectors some options from the usually done Stug III F's & G's

based on the Trumpeter's 1/72 model kits.

Lack of details turns me off the StuG F and now C-D, and E, main one is the lack of periscopes, with the MRC StuGs just having a empty hole in the roof of the assault gun. Edit: I have the StuG III F in grey from a squadron.com sale, and for a pre-built it's ok, but it could have been better IMO.

As for the lack of scopes IMO a solid roof would be better.

Heck Dragon does both commander's scope with a closed hatch(the front of the hatch folded down to allow this in real life) and the gunner's options on their StuG IVs and least the Gunner's Scope on the StuG IIIs.
