I've got one on display.... think I paid like 30 bucks for it. It's a nice plane and all, but I don't know about $160 worth.

I'll have to look around now, and see if I have one NIB tucked away somewhere.

That's ridiculous.
I think I picked it up on clearance at Walmart too.
Isn't there another thread on shill bidding?

yea I posted that one on pumping up your own Ebay auctions.
but then I sold a Spitfire 32x for 80.00 in a nasty Xmas week bidwar, and then had the buy request overnight UPS shipping to boot.
So it could be legit on the Fw 190 if people want it bad enough, but I would think it could still be had on Online for 30.00

OK, 100.00 for each of mine back in the appropriate boxes-sorta new like they were when they were mint in box (SNLTWWTWMIB) Better than just plain old neglected MIB. I've ignored the mediteranean 109 and the 3rd P-40 from the diorama kits, but other than that, were good. Why pay that much for yellow 11 that's destined to sit in a box in pieces when you can have one displayed as expected, loved and admired by all interested parties.
But, the empty wall space would be unacceptable, so no deal.......

I wish I could be that lucky...

And, if anyone can explain this, I would be grateful...
There is this one:

And here is mine...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :MESELX:IT
Maybe I need to take mine out of the box, leave it on a dusty shelf for a few months and then sell it?

I have one of those.. It doesn't have a box and is in pieces, so I bet I'll get $200 out of it..

That FW190 price is ridiculous.
I can't see any legitimate reason for spending that amount of money on that model.
I sense your frustration,Harry.And RAD

Thanks, I'll make a note of that.
I wasn't necessarily implying anything bad, but that fact that yours has obviously been displayed (which should bring down the value, not increase it) while mine is NEW and never been opened..lol

Ebay is really crazy! There just is no rhyme or reason in many instances.
For example, last fall I sold a 1/32 21ST P51 "Princess" on ebay, used but in excellent condition w/both canopies - $160.00!!!!!!
The next week the same type started appearing on ebay in droves and none sold any where near the price I got...I actually emailed my buyer & asked him (after I was paid of course), why he spent so much on my plane - He said he bought it for some museum & that was the only 21ST P51 he needed to complete his display.
You never know.

I'm amazed that my Spitfire didn't sell for more than $31.22...
Oh well, At least I have another.

my yellow nose Ju87 or all green Ju87 1940 didn't go past 35 either. Just before a loose yellow went for over 80.00 the week prior.
then after sold I got an offer of 45.00 for the yellow nose.
Sometimes I hate ebay.

That recently happened a few weeks ago again with "Princess"
It was the last P-51 B/C I was missing.
Though they didn't go that high, they were ending around $60 or higher. Finally got one that ended on a weekday for just over $40 shipping included.
I think it's a supply demand thing, and the first popular plane model offered that people haven't seen in a while goes high, then many sellers who see that profit put theirs up for auction hoping to ride the wave of frenzy only to flood the market, and they go lower.
Got no explanation for the loose plane going higher than a boxed one. Though this sometimes happens with action figures. I found that to be true with loose Star Wars figures that I've sold. Go figure.

I think the loose might go higher as some want them more, than have to debox(devalue to some) a pristine model.
