Hi Everyone,

I hardly ever post on this side of the fence so to speak. But I recently completed my first small scale project and custom and wanted to share it with everyone. It's not a tank and it is not a amror piece or anything like that, still I am very proud of the way this turned out despite some very simple techinques used. This was actually made for my wonderful fiancee, who is really into these types of buildings.

Pictures if they are not up already, will be visible soon. I'll share more and answer questions if anyone has them about how I did this. All comments welcome, but be kind, lol, this is the first time I have done anything major in a small scale, in this case, about 1/43 scale.

That looks great! I just noticed you used a bird house for the dio. What a cool idea, your fiancee is going to love it. Nice job.

Thanks

Hi Guys

Sorry for the delay in posting a thank you to the comments, I was in Hawaii for a week :)

A couple of things in case some people are wondering

-The sand is actually real sand! I used a liberal spread of craft glue, then dumped the sand on, then used two coats of spray adhesive and clear coat to seal it up, works good.

-The boat is entirely scratchbuilt, very proud of it.

-The lighthouse was a finish it kit from a craft store, i just modified it by adding shutters, paint and the rope at top. The birdhouse as normandy pointed out was the same idea, a little modification can go a long way.

-The sidewalks are simply pieces of balsa wood painted.

-Grass, garbage cans, figures, etc are all train accessories.

-The back of the truck was modified to have the wooden cargo area.

-The American flag is a baking accessory for cupcakes

Well that's all, by the way she loves it!!! Thanks for the comments and anyone has any questions about it just ask. My next one I want to try a church
