Open Letter to Dragon and FOV

Post by Philip » Fri Jul 01, 2005 2:15 pm

Dear Dragon or FOV,

I have a suggestion concerning your
1/72 tank line. Your tanks are very well made, and well detailed. To my knowledge you(Dragon) are the first company to introduce a static 1/72 Tiger. You now have numerous versions of the Tiger, including those with Zimmerit mine paste. FOV - your 1/72 line has been received well, and your Tiger has not yet been released. I have one suggestion that I think would sell like hotcakes. Take a look at the 1997 CDC catalogue and introduce some Tigers with the "yellow" camo scheme, like nos. Art 3224 and 3225. I would bet that these would be immensely popular. I hope both of you will take this into consideration.

What do the rest of the Forum members think?

I'd like to see an Afrika Korps Tiger.

I'm sick of Tigers. Maybe they could start making tanks that were actually made in large quantities like Shermans and Panzer IV's.

I agree that Dragon has released too many Tigers(8 counting the BergTiger), and the seemingly endless number of Limited Editions. Like it or not, the Tiger will always be produced ad nauseum. My point is that if you are going to continually produce Tigers, let's get a little bit creative, at least with camo. The CDC Tiger camo schemes were excellent. I will post the pictures from the catalogue in the next few days.

Hey guys, go to mikestanks.com and he has a copy of the 1997 catalogue and you will see the CDC Tigers close up. I should have known Mike would have this info. He has everything!

An Afrika Corps Tiger would be cool.
