question about CafeReo, F Toys etc

Are these japanese made planes all really 1/144 or just sorta 1/144? Some of them seem awfully inexpensive for a truly 1/144 sized, painted plane. Like the Emily flying boat that i can get for $5.

How are they for quality, fit, accuracy etc?

Thanks for any info. :)

Also, do they all come with gear up/ gear down options? Do the Altaya 1/144's come with gear up / gear down options?

i dont like them! the paint is ok but the fit is horrible. you can fix them but then you need to repaint. so if thats the case why not buy a cheaper 1/144 kit and build your own. i have a couple but gave them to my boys since i wasnt happy

fit is horrible

this is a very true point. Also when you snip them from the trees you need to patch the paint also.

Other than Flames of War, that is the only reason I deal with them.

although F-Toys and Bandai come fully built(My Hs 129s, Bf109Gs, Ta 152 and few more) but you need to decal them.

yea the only ones I really use are the Hs 129B-2/R2 and the Bf 109E-7/Bs
oh and the fully built and painted Dragon Ju 87D/Gs and B/Rs.
