Small Scale Military Headquarters

Anyone seen one of these in person? - Know where you can get one for less than $500?
The detail looks really good as does the quality from the pictures anyway.

HWJapan has them for $438 but with shipping I'm sure it would probably be more than or close to Boomingisland's price without the dangers of international shipping.

Maybe HobbyLobby will get some in the future and we can use the 40% off coupon like we did with the Famemaster 3d 1/32 F14.

There is a Revell/Monogram kit of one that is 1:144 scale. I suspect it should retail for around $60 at most. (That's a lot cheaper than those $500 prices you are quoting!)

My younger brother got and built the kit about 10 years ago and it is really cool. All three stages can seperate. The Apollo spacecraft came complete with the service module, command module (capsule) the escape tower & covering, as well as a lunar module that could fold up into the third stage of the rocket. The whole assembly is nearly three feet tall

It was really an easy build and I helped him with it. The whole thing is white, with the black markings masked off and the only really detailed painting being done on the Apollo spacecraft and lunar lander.

Not 1/144,but Dragon does a 1/400 Saturn V,that looks pretty decent.
Pretty decent price,as well.

The 1/400 Dragon is awesome. $40 isn't really bad when you are considering that it is 11" tall.
Just one thing you should know about it. Be VERY careful displaying it. The base it comes with isn't great. I found this out the hard way. It was displayed about 4 feet from the ground and... you know what happened. My super glue tube was gone after that. Good news- it's mostly metal. Bad news- the plastic parts are super delicate.

See if you can find the Space Voyagers brand, Ultimate Saturn V Rocket. You may have to look on ebay. I got one from an online hobby store (don't recall the name) for under $40 in June of 2008. It's a toy, not a model, but it's a very cool toy.
