Hey T,

Are you in Columbus??? I saw in the FOV 1/72 post that you mentioned Hobby Land. Which one do you go to? Graceland, Sawmill Rd. or the one on East Broad St.?

Small world!!

Hi C2000,

Yes, I live in Columbus. I live as far north as you can go before actually leaving the city limits (in between Westerville and Worthington in Sharon Woods).

I go to the Hobby Land on Sawmill usually as I like it the best, but occassionally go to the Graceland location just to see if there's anything new.

I noticed on your profile that you wargame. What scale and where do you wargame? I do too, and it is a small world to run into you here.

Hi T,

I know where you're at. I used to live at Little Turtle in Westerville and then we moved to Pataskala 10/04. We bought a big condo.

I grew up here and usually went to the Graceland Hobby Land. I now go to W. Broad St. now since it's closer. I work in Hilliard so when I get bored at lunch I cruise over to Sawmill Rd.

I game with all types of scales, 1/285, 1/72, and 1/32. I usually play most of my games at home or at friend's houses. I'm "too old" for most game stores as I'm into WWII mostly. I used to go to Ravenstone and play Mage Knight until the rules were changed to 2.0.

Are you going to ORIGINS this year? I am. I hoping to find the new expansions for Memoir 44. I hoping that they have the new A&A miniatures game there as a demo. It's supposed to be shown at GENCO in August.

Perhaps we can hook up some time and battle.

I'm not sure if I will go to Origins this year. I went two years ago and there was way too much fantasy and sci-fi stuff for my taste, I'm more into historicals. I know they have some, but nothing like regular historical shows like Historicon, Cold Wars, or Fall In.

I'll be around alot this summer should be ever want to game. I hear that The Soldiery on High St has a few historical games each month that are pretty good. There's also a large group of guys that game only historicals that meet somewhere on campus.

Last year at ORIGINS I picked up some 1/32 scale prepainted figs. They had them in sets of 6. I bought the Japs, Germans, Brits, and U.S. troopers. They were the Britains Deetail figs.

Actually, they had alot of WWII stuff there. Too bad I didn't have the $$$ to take more home with me.

I've been to The Soldiery. I've never been able to catch a WWII game there - mostly fantasy.

Yes, let me know when you have some free time to game. We can play at your house or mine - doesn't matter - have dice/will travel.

Take care,
