I'd welcome any new 1/32 tank or vehicle. Presently all that's available are very pricey: Figarti, First Legion, etc.

Is that the "S" tank with the fixed gun? Tamiya used to make one in 1:48.

yes that's the tank

trumpeter makes a 1/35 kit of it but i was hoping for something built up and preferably bigger. The biggest prebuilt is 1/144, which is so small i don't know why the bother.

The Tamyia tank was a kit, but it was very simple. It was also motorized...

I guess the S Tank was made for the Panzertales World Tank Museum series as a way to show tank evolution as the WTM series had already went up to the 9th wave, and 1:144 scale military models are a popular scale in Japan.
I own the 1:144 scale S Tank by Kaiyodo/Takara Tomy myself and mines came with a big folded up poster that showed a diagram of the tank interior and a tank evolution chart from the 1940s to the present. One portion of it showed that the S Tank was descended from the Hetzer and AMX-13.

Here are my pics of the S Tank, the details on it are pretty good, I forgot to put the machine gun on through:
