Small Scale Military Headquarters

I respect your opinion and would like yours on the new 1/72 FOV vehicles. Would you please list the pluses and minuses and give each one an overall rating of 1 - 5, 5 being the best? Thanks.

I'm with fov on this one...any reviews, opinions or more pics would be great!

Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to delay my opinion on the 1:72 line for a few days for a number of reasons. We've been bombarded with merchandise from a number of vendors and we're trying to get out all of our back orders. That, and our four-page ad in WWII magazine just broke, so needless to say things are a bit hairy.

Give me a few days and I'll let you know how they stack up with the Dragon line...

PS. In regard to IXO vehicles, Diecast Direct, their exclusive distributor, informed us about the upcoming ground vehicles. I think they're going to start showing up around the middle of the summer.

I completely understand that you can be swamped and look forward to your comments when able.
As for the IXO vehicles, any idea as to what they might be? Even just a hint would be nice.

Hi,
I had heard there was a M48 Patton in the works. It also sounded as if there was a bit of redundancy in the rest of the initial releases, which to me means the usual Tiger/Panther/Sherman assortment. Again, that's just conjecture on my part and nothing more.

Hi,
After looking over the first four releases, I'm generally pleased with their appearance and heft. I like the weathered look and the addition of a tank commander with each vehicle is a big plus. My only gripe, thus far, is that you supposedly cant detach the mine roller from the Sherman tank, although I haven't fiddled with it and I'm sure some industrious individuals will find a way to accomplish this. The packaging is attractive, although it did take a few minutes to figure out how to remove the vehicle from the outer box. I certainly think they're worth the price and look good alongside the Dragon Armor.

Long term, however, I think Unimax is going to have to step up production to keep up with Dragon in this scale. Releasing a King Tiger, Tiger I, Abrams, Bradley and Challenger is a bit redundant, especially if the collector already owns one in this scale. Then again, collectors seem to enjoy purchasing multiple versions of a vehicle in this scale, so I may be barking up the wrong tree. Anyway, I give them high marks!

I can't understand why anyone would want to remove the rollers from the Sherman. This is what makes it unique, if you want a plain Sherman get a Matchbox or wait a bit, Dragon is supposed to be releasing one sometime.
Removing the rollers is like buying a BMW and removing the distinctive grill, why?
I agree, why did they make the Abrams, Tiger I and King Tiger when Dragon has already beat these to death. I hope they find a niche with the batch after the initial 8. Do something that other companies aren't doing, be a pathfinder, be the first one in.
