Small Scale Military Headquarters

It's been a while since we had anything new coming our way on the 1:32 scale, planes to be more specific. Twin engine fighters, from my point of view, have been overlooked and should be produced on this scale whether it be by BBI, FOV or some other company. Concerning twin-engine fighters or bombers, which one would you like to be produced first? Of course the p-38 or B-25 would be obvious choices. Personnally, I would like to see the messerschmitt Bf-110, any variant. Even though it was rendered obsolete for it's intended role almost at the beginning of the war, I just like the look of the plane and it's historical significance during the BoB. I'm not saying it would be commercially viable or not, but that would be my first pick as a collector. The mosquito, JU-88, HE111 (my second choice) would also be nice to see.

In 1/32 scale the twin engine bombers would be BIG.
As I collect a lot of 1/18,I would be all for it.But probably too big for most collectors.

I have the Corgi 1/32 Mosquito,and it is a fantastic model.That would be number one choice,but as I already have it I will move on.

Heck,I would be happy with any 1/32 plane.
It is my favourite scale.

A 1/32 Ju88 is about 17" long with about a 21" wingspan, making it not too much bigger than the Stuka (~13.5" x 17"). That still makes it smaller than most 1/18 planes so it should be doable for most people. My P-38J is about the same size as my Stukas. I expect my BF-110 and Beaufighter will be about the same once built.

Now, all I need is to find a B-25 in 1/32 that is NOT a resin kit.

Seriously, though, I know the OP meant engines separated by a decent expanse of wing, but I'm willing to give the Warthog a pass as the engines are painfully individual units as opposed to the rest of your jets, which while they do have two engines those almost seem to blend together with the streamlining of the fuselages. The Cobra is funny, but I would not say no to one in 1/32.

In keeping with a modern era theme which you obviously favor, what would you say to a B-1 or a C-27J in 1/32? I know the C-27 isn't really a jet but it is currently in use by our Armed Forces so no collection would be complete without one.

Hey, anybody know of any 3+ engine planes that could be carried off in 1/32? The Ju-52 springs instantly to mind. It wouldn't be much more than twice as wide as a Stuka and in plastic shouldn't pose more of a threat hanging than the 1/18 Avenger or 262 (I hit my head on the bottom of mine constantly).

I'd not be opposed to a B-1, but it's four engined. The swing wings would also likely add cost. I've been watching the 1:18 F-14, I like it, but there's no way I'd ever spend $250 on one plane. Just couldn't justify it. Maybe half that, for something I really, really wanted.

The C-27J? I'll be honest, I had to look it up. That one seems to have slipped into service without anyone telling me (they do that from time to time...). I like it, but if someone was going to do it, I'd wager they'd just go ahead and do the C-130. There are a whole lot of repaints and variations that could be done there.

Well, if anyone tackles a C-130 in 1/32, then there is no excuse for not doing any of the 4-engine Boeing bombers.
