hallo all
i have seen a model of FOV TIGER 1 eastern front item n.80404
in 1/32 scale and it seems strange as it has no number on turret the colour scheme is incomplete, and has a log on one side
Is this a replica of a real tank? is it accurate?what unit is lakely to belong to?
thanks for your help!

IIRC I have seen color plates of this (or a very similar) tank in one of my Tiger books, though I can't recall which one at the moment. I believe the paint scheme which you refer to as "incomplete" is relatively accurate, and as best that I can remember it represents a tank from a Schweres Abteilung on the Volkhov (Leningrad) front.

hallo and thanks for your replay
I f it was a tiger 1 near Leningrad in 1942 it would have been very likely to
be an early version?!

The Germans weren't pushed back from Leningrad until early 1944, so it could be accurate, considering that FOV markets this as an Eastern Front 1944 model.
