I don't keep up with this board like I should so forgive me if this has been covered already. The Dauntless and Wildcat are two of the best 1:32 aircraft I've seen. It's been over a year and if I'm not mistaken we didn't even get any repaints which sucks because there are so many schemes for both planes. :? :?

from what i was told by Historic aviation BBI wants a distributor to place a large order before they will do and new or repainted items. thats why we never saw the F-104. they couldnt find anyone to sponsor the plane. with the present economic situation i wouldnt expect anything from them for awhile. distributor dont want to lay out the cash at this time.

Damn, that sucks. Those two planes are such beauties. The pride of my ceiling air fleet. I was hoping for a pre-war Wildcat or Dauntless in a colorful scheme.

Easy Model had an excellent pre-war Wildcat as well. I had it but it had an unfortunate accident.

I "should" pic up a BBI Dauntless.
The lowest price I found was $47.

Has anyone found one for less?

Man, some new aircraft would sure be a morale-booster right now. Hell, a new anything would be fine.

I haven't found the Dauntless for any cheaper than $40, which seems kinda high considering it doesn't have any moving control surfaces. I might have to break down and buy one anyways, but I am betting we will see more in the future. I just can't see a manufacturer spending all that money on tooling just to issue one plane. Same for the Phantom and Wildcat.

I agree. Especially the Phantom. With the popularity of the F-4 and the quality of bbi's first releases, I just felt sure that bbi would spit them out like Octo-mom. Many, many schemes to choose with the Phantom. Maybe we will see something by the summer. All 3 current releases are excellent in my opinion.

On a side note, Harry your 1/32 customs are excellent !!! Great work.

The BBI F-4 is a great model.
Begs for several repaints.
