Is anyone else noticing a possible trend with 1/72 painted figures from Dragon? There are 8 with this piece, two of the Michael Wittmann tanks had figures, some of the Warbirds have figures, and the 1/72 Dragon Models LCVP included several 1/72 Americans (though unpainted).
Maybe they are planning to do a range of 1/72 figures like their very popular 1/35 scale range.

Hi T,
I wholeheartedly agree with you and said so awhile back. With so many figures included in this set, I'm betting that Dragon is getting set to announce that you can purchase their five piece figure packs in 1:72 scale and will probably display them for the first time at the upcoming Dragon Expo. I think it s a natural and it looks as if the quality is going to be unsurpassed for the price. Imagine being able to field an entire batallion of men for less than a hundred bucks! Afterwards, I'm willing to bet they're coming out with buildings, rubble and shrubbery. They've already released a few limiteds with trees and fences, so it makes sense they're going that route as well.
BTW, just my two cents, but I think this is the nicest limited edition set they've come up with yet...

I'll be attending the Dragon Expo and am looking forward to anything they announce or release for this scale. If they announced a range of figures I'd be very happy, especially if they were all painted. I think all the right signs are there, and at this point I'd be more surprised if they didn't do a line of figures in 1/72.
I agree, this is the nicest piece they've released and it's probably just the beginning of a "Combat Diorama" line.

Some painted 1/72 soldier sets from Dragon would be great! I know Forces of Valor are coming out with their own, but until they hit the shelves, we won't know how good the quality will be. We'll just have to wait until the Dragon Expo to see what is revealed...

Hi,
I do have one question. Are the figures supposed to represent SS Fallschirmjager? It looks like Fallschirm helmets with peadot wraps over their uniforms...

They're definetely Fallschirmjager helmets, but I don't think the picture is that clear to see the camo scheme they're wearing very well. Nice piece, but the picture looks like it might have been enlargened and slightly distorted.
