New Bravo Team 1/32 Figures

Post by tmanthegreat » Fri Jul 24, 2009 7:05 pm

No one seems to have mentioned these around here yet, but I found new Unimax Bravo Team 1:32 figures at Target today! They are 1:32 Army, Marines, Delta Force, and Navy Seal figures. These figures are entirely new sculpts - and are correctly proportioned without the "Popeye syndrone" that plagued most earlier FOV figures. The paint jobs on the new figures are not all that great, but at least they are new figures. Here is a scanned picture of the cardback so you all can see what is in the new wave.

Holy crap!
I was wondering what Mr. Gatdula (toysoldier1) over at the 1:18 board was saying about new 1:32 figures!
These guys look like scaled down versions of the 1:18 SOF Series: Combat Elite! I'll check mines tomorrow! :D

Founded Unimax's new 1:32 two packs! But no luck finding any of Unimax's Fearless Forces line yet, bummer.

These guys look really good proportionally... and from a distance... but up close they look crap... the paint job is very bad. Badly painted sunglasses, elapping biege skin tone paint on black rifle, off-colored helmets... -ahhh! :(
From what I can see, the sets that were horrible were the Deltas and SEALs, they have the most bad paint jobs, especially the blank faces. The 1:18 versions of both of them are waaaaay better.
The sets that were ok were the 36th Infantry Regiment and 1st Marine Division. The ACU and MARPAT camo for both the soldiers and marines were nicely done.

Unimax is going the right direction through, in making their soldiers more too scale and providing more modern figures, I just hope the next production batch they make are painted more accurately.
Anyways, didn't buy any, busy mopping up the G.I. Joe ROC line at TRU, I'll buy these guys when Unimax paints them better. 8)

So without further ado, pics!

Yes, the paint on the Marines and Army figures was much bettern than the Seals. I picked those and the tank commmanders up.

These are a great base to start with. They will need some face detail and other help. At least the camo (which is the hardest part) is already done for us. Sky Ray, thanks for posting the pics.

Has anyone else seen these figures west of Los Angeles? The local Targets have all of the other new FOV figures and vehicles, but no sight of the 1/32 figures.

I found these 32nd scale figures last night. They are not really to bad. If you repaint them they look great.
Fred, really looking forward to the JSI 1/18th scale Grumman F-14 Tomcat.

:?: So do they stand on their own feet or do they have to put on a base?

Check my pictures again, you can see there's a biege colored plate directly below each figure.

If you can drive east of LA, go to the Alhambra one, they have it.

I was going to pick up the infantry set but in typical FOV/Bravo tradition, the weapons were all bent to hell. Had a cute wittle doggie in the pack too.

New Bravo Team 1/32 Figures

Post by scwarlord » Fri Aug 21, 2009 3:22 pm

Except for the tankers these figures have not shown up in Central Ohio Targets. Is it possible these are being test-marketed in certain areas. All of the other new FOV/Unimax items are hear and on the shelves.
