belive it or not, they were in a short 4 sided display stand right in the aisle by the art/trains/models section of Hobby Lobby
Now you get yourself a nice 40% off any item coupon like the one on their website RIGHT NOW and your getting a sweet deal

I am wondering if the 4 i saw is all they are making....seems like an odd selection of tanks...esp the sturmtiger...then they pick a plain Sherman to add to the lineup? i sense a tiger or panther out there, maybe a pershing or M10 as well

hmmm

I have not seen them on the actual website just the store. If you search Testors 80th anniversary or testors Js2 or sturmtiger you will see some online stores and 1 ebay listing

These look very nice, are you sure they are pre-built? It says "model kit" on the box.. :?

I think these are Italeri model kits. Testors re-boxed a lot of Italeri stuff in the past. I saw them at Hobby People. I don't think they are pre-built and painted.

Wow these are cool! Haven't seen these yet but I did just pick up a Testors 1/32 diecast metal Willy's at Hobby Lobby. It is a kit of sorts, just have to attach the axles and wheels, it's also motorized with a cheezy friction type motor. Good detail though and is prepainted although have to paint the small detail parts like the shovel and stuff like that. Great find Cabe, time to hit the HL stores. :D

They're traditional models, made in Italy. Complete assembly and painting required.

They are $49.99, but Hobby Lobby is having their 30% off sale right now, or, you could probably use the 40% off coupon from the website.

cannot use that coupon on sale items, you have to time it when the kits are not on sale or just take the 30% off and run with it
they like to do that with airbrush stuff and models right as they release those 40% off coupons

I'm absolutely certain, I went and bought one, but am going to take it back. Life's too short to build it.

Yeah, there are lot of things that hint at it being a complete model. I wouldn't expect a kit to come with some certificate of authenticity.

Yeah, sorry for all of us. At least it made for an interesting day. I drove over there at lunch, hunted around and couldn't find them. Didn't bother to ask (should have). Weighed getting one online vs. locally and the 40% coupon won.

Called HL to see if they had them or might be expecting them. A very helpful lady said they were up front (I had missed them by an aisle). It was cute hearing her try to pronounce the models, "J. Staylin-2."

Drove back over after work. Peaked inside, still bought one, but realized I know my model construction history too well. Which is, I would start off with lofty goals, then lose interest.

Anyway, the models are neatly packaged, display on the bottom two thirds and the model on the top, with a small sheet of paper that says, "1/35 scale, made in Italy." The model color is the yellow/sand color. Lots of pieces and detail.
