I'm still looking for a front drive sprocket for a 21st century 1/32 sherman, have done alot of surfing and came up with nothing, if anyone has any ideas let me know.

21st Shermans were readily available when Walmart and TRU carried them. Have you considered cannibalizing one?

I think he's looking to replace a missing part from a desert sherman that was missing the drive sprocket. No sense in cutting up another sherman just to make the one good though, what I'd resommend is looking into making your own part. There are quite a few members on the board here who are experts at casting their own parts using molds and resin, you know all that stuff I wish i could do (I would love to learn though

).
All I could envision the work being is removing the one good one, making a mold using it, and then pouring resin into it and letting it set. I know there is more to it, maybe someone like Pickelhaube could post a detailed tutorial

I went ahead and ordered another Sherman from MD, don't really want to part it out, but it looks like thats my only option. When I get my time in I'll try to see if someone here has one or can make me one, till then I'll have to wait.

If you buy the Firefly kit, which is a great price, you'll have a lot of spare parts.....

Yeah, the dozer is the one I ordered, still hate to part one out when i'm sure that there are guys who have done customs or dioramas that my have one, guess I could to one of a dozer taking a couple of "88" hits.
That would explain the missing drive sproket.

You could have the dozer taken out just after crashing through the Hedgerow....

Just checked MD and guess what, they've got the camo sherman back up, the same one they told me that was out of stock. Go figure.

I don't even know how many Shermans or other armor I have at this point. When I sometimes hit garage sales, flea markets, toy shows, etc., let alone previosly the clearance aisle at Walmart, it's amazing how often 21st or FOV are there. I've picked up various pieces for $5..... As a result of the numbers I have I usually don't have a problem canabalizing.
