Dragon 1:144 CanDo Armour

Does anyone think that these tiny tanks will ever be true collector's items?
I'm thinking about buying a few more, but I don't know if it is worth spending $8 on a 8% lot vehicle (i.e. Aachen steel wheel Panther G)

A few years back, prior to their release of the Abrams, they had a Weekend of Heroes exclusive Abrams that went for big bucks on Ebay. I'm not sure if it held its value, but they sold for $100-$150/each.
Anyone know what they're going for today?

The above noted auction was called off at $90+ being considered clearly too little. I have been told that the Wittman Tiger has gone for $300 in jolly old. The KT for as much as $60, Panther specials $30+ etc. The specials (small production runs) do seem to sell at a significant premium. Considering that they start at $4 even $60 is 15x. Pretty nice. I checked out "Tankzone", a UK retailer and even non-specials are going for a hefty markup from normal retail. Don't know why though.

Hi,
The smaller armor may be advancing in price in sympathy with the larger 1:72 scale armor. After watching the prices soar on the 1:72 scale stuff, I'm sure some people are speculating that their smaller brethren wont be too far behind once they become harder to find. In marketing terms, you could say "a rising tide lifts all boats," much like the stock exchange on a good day...

While the 1:144 stuff is neat, it is too small for my tastes.
