Attention K&C Collectors

Go to Treefrogs Toy Soldier Site, go to New Releases, and look for Forum on the left.
They have created a K&C message board.
I talked to Shannon the owner yesterday, and she was reluctant to post the info on this board, so I told her I would do it.
Please register and post something as she was very excited about doing this.
Also talked to Bill at Segers toys, he has the website with all the retired K&C brochures, etc. What an interesting guy. He is strickly a collector of K&C first, and dealer second, which is a side job. He said he created his website to help other collectors. This guy has any info you may want about collecting K&C.
And finally, I have posted many times about emailing and calling dealers from the U.S. in search of "retired" items. Well yesterday I did in search of 6 long retired Rev War figures that I need and I have found 5 of them, so again it works.

Gary, I suppose that it'd only be fair to mention that Eric in the International Toy Soldier Gallery was reluctant to post the info on this board regarding his message board so in the interests of balance I'm doing so:

There are enough diverse elements to everyone's collection to keep all the message boards buzzing. As you're probably aware I'm a member of more than one aircraft forum, but equally I know that some other people will combine soldier collecting with hot wheels or something just as different. Should be enough to go around.

I'm posting in this thread to avoid starting a new one and besides the title does the job for me.

Basically i'm once again able to afford a couple of new K&C pieces. Here in Bham UK there's a toy fair at the weekend and K&C will be there so it seems the ideal opportunity to buy.

My problem is i really can't decide what to buy! I'm sure this is a common problem.
At the moment i'm leaning towards the new King Tiger and the Jagdpanther. However i'm also in need of the gun crew A&B to man my 88mm and i also like the look of the Wittman tiger.
Do you people think the Wittman tiger would be the best buy? Is it a nice piece?
The only reason i'm not grabbing it is the fact i'm slightly Tigered out. I have the FOV diorama Tiger, the first minichamps Tiger and countless Dragon/cyber Hobby Tigers. Do i need another Tiger? I bet you folks will say "of course you do!"
Anyway excuse my rambling. Whatever i get at the weekend i'll try and post some pictures if anyone's interested.
I would like to see more pictures of peoples collections especially the older rarer items that are nearly impossible to find good visual reference of.

Eazy. Bill Sager's website http://www.toysoldiersusa.com/ has an excellent collection of brochures as well as photographs and references to most K&C production from the mid-90s onwards. Much of these photos are from the collection of Louis Baldolato, who has probably the largest K&C collection in the world, including prototypes of vehicles which were not produced.
On the Tiger issue I'd take a chance on the new King Tiger. Although it'll be around for a while yet, I don't think that's a reason not to get it now and appreciate it for a few years. The current mania for retired items is becoming a little unnerving and I can tell you that the WS15 Tiger is not all that special (I have the WS15W), the WS43 being a vast improvement on WS15 and WS25. I wouldn't rush off and buy a WWII German vehicle for the sake of it. How about the new British/Canadian Bren Carrier or the Staghound? They are a huge improvement on the AN15 and AN16 from the Arnhem series.

If you think you will be just a casual collector get the piece you like the most, however if you see yourself getting serious about collecting K&C, get the tiger, as I,m sure it will be retired soon.
If you need photos of any particular sets, email me at lkuepfert@aol.com
