Small Scale Military Headquarters

I recently purchased a Hobby Master (HA1802) BF 110-G4 for a very decent price. While the overall detail is very nice, I'm guessing they were having a really off day on the assembly line. The inner radar antenna is rotated about 20 degrees counter clockwise. The two guns in the nose look more like the arms of the robot from, "Lost in Space" flailing in completely different directions and the insignia on the fuselage are missing. Other online resources seem to be hit and miss on the insignia.

Sorry to see that, you must've gotten a Friday/ 5 o'clock special.. I have over 30 HM planes and none have any QC issues. If I were you, I'd send it back and ask for a replacement.

I have many Hobby Master planes and armors. I have never had quality issue with their models.

However, I have Hobby Master 1/72 Centurion Tank that I cannot unscrew from the base. I gave up and the tank is still in the packaging. Someday, I may have to break the plastic base to detach the tank

Maybe you could heat up the screw with a soldering iron just enough to loosen it from the base. My only concern would be if the screw is really 'locked' to the the tank and not the base. You could melt the plastic base completely around the screw, and wind up with the screw protruding below ground level.

Perhaps the opposite, chilling it in the fridge to see if materials might contract at different ratios might work.

I do not want to hi-jack the discussion. I just want to re-emphasize that I am very impressed with Hobby Master planes and armors. I will always buy their products with utmost confidence.
