2. Hobby Master F-4 Phantom II---Steve Ritchie of Reidsville, NC
3. Corgi B-17 "Memphis Belle"---pilot Robert Morgan of Asheville, NC
4. 21st Century AH-1W "Supercobra"---based at MCAS New River, NC
5. BBI F4U "Daisy June"---based near MCAS Cherry Point, NC
6. Hobby Master John McCain A-4 Skyhawk---McCain's daughter graduated from St. Mary's College a few blocks from my alma mater, NC State University, and she took courses at my alma mater
8. Hobby Master George Bush TBM Avenger---Bush attending Navy flight school at the University of North Carolina a few miles from my hometown and my oldest brother is a UNC alumnus
9. Dragon F-15E "Mad Duck"--Seymour Johnson AFB, NC
8. Franklin Mint F-15E "Dragon Betty II"--Seymour Johnson AFB, NC
10. Century Wings F-14 stationed on USS KITTY HAWK, Kitty Hawk, NC

Thanks for the photos. The "Tarheel Heel" repaint is located in Galveston---I was thinking of emailing them about additional history on the P-47 and its pilot, Lt. Ike Davis.

Tarheel Hal, it's a fancy paint job, really nice.
Me, I like that "Big Chief" P-47 in the pics. Olive drab, nice nose art, no invasion stripes, just a clean mid- WWII scheme.

Yes, I heard it's really great up in your area and in Asheville, but I grew up in the central part of NC and love Raleigh. Just about any part of NC is better than Houston. That's why I have an NC model collection.
