King and Country Purchase

Post by Sniper73 » Thu Mar 31, 2005 9:20 pm

Hi all,

So I went out and got the Jadgpanther and the new tank riders today (i like them more than the old ones that are still available). The Jadgpanther is fantastic, a great piece. The figures are the real gems though. You can almost see the fear in the eyes of one of the crouching soldiers. Impressive, and their eyes are blue!! It took me a minute to notice, but when I did, I was shocked. Andy really knows what he's doing. The shading on their throats really helps bring them to life and the contours on the smocks are superb. All in all, incredibly satisfied.

Wow that is some neat stuff!

I'm going to have to get up to a whole new income bracket to start collecting all of that in addition to supporting my current collecting habits...

Is this the one?

Yep, those are the ones. The photos really don't do them justice though. The figures are absolutely fantastic. I can't wait for the King Tiger and the rest of the Berlin series. Those are the ones that got me into KC in the first place!

The shipping price on that King is going to be high. The 88 was heavy and lifting my older Tiger and Panthers I can't imagine the weight of this mammoth. Thanks for the photo Mr Football.I was trying not to fall of the wagon but this teaser destroys my 12 step program for K&C addiction.

Go ahead and take the plunge, you won,t be sorry. That was my concern, the price, but you will find a way.
Trust me and everyone else on this board that collects K&C, you won,t be sorry.

free shipping

Post by Sniper73 » Fri Apr 01, 2005 3:45 pm

There are a couple of online dealers that hvae free shipping on orders over 100 dollars. I belive sierra toy soldiers is one of them. While the tank is listed at 99.99, you may, if you decide to purhase, want to buy something else that you wanted at the same time in order to save money. Granted the total woudl be higher, but if you were going to get something else anyway, itd make sense.

THose ws sets are great. I like ws48 in particular. I really like the german soldiers wearing the greatcoats under their camo smocks. the detail of making the coats look like they are blowing in the wind and drapping over the legs is unbelievable. Its actually probably the next set that I am going to get.
