21C - What's up?

I love 21C 1:32 aircraft, but they seem to have stopped with the Spitfire. What gives? So many cool planes yet to be made and nothing. Their site still announces the Spit as new and that was posted six months ago. Did I miss something here?

"What's up?"

Not their profits...

Get used to their massive amount of "un-information" as well as mis-information. I was once a strong supporter to the point of ridicule as a matter of fact. tko is pretty much the go-to-guy pertaining to 21st C and if he doesn't have the info, there isn't any info..

Yep,
21st fired all its Research and Design staff including Roy Sutherland. He was the driving force behind all the great planes we have seen recently, most notably the Fw-190 A/F, New tool Mustangs and Sptifires. I am betting that if we see anything new in the coming year, it will be more repaints, if even that. :(

I think Harry is right, repaints "may" show but I personally don't think any new airframes will, hopefully I'm wrong as a Tony & Hellcat in 1/32 would be sweet. I think if 21st C does have a future it'll be in 1/32 and smaller.

I received the order form from 21C just last week. they are out of stock on everything! a few old 1/32 planes Ohly and Galland. no 1/32 tanks except the s1 Hetzer & Marder. It seems they are falling off the map. It will be difficult to fill that gap in my friends store if they go out of business. The web site hasnt changed in months and retailers are being told not to expect anything new for them. WM maybe getting some shipments but ive only seen old stuff there. Stugs and a variety of 1/48 tanks and just a few planes. I called my WM contact and they cant order anything from 21C right now. all order numbers are removed from thier data base.
IT DOESNT LOOK GOOD!!!!!!

Yeah, the Galland 109 was a limited release and VERY hard to find. I only saw one once and it was broken. Now I wished I had picked it up.

Funny story. I don't really care for the ME-109E release as it is pretty toyish but I do know how rare the Galland is. One day off the beaten path I found what I thought was a Galland model, collecting dust at $35.99. I was so excited I snapped it up, brought it home and checked it out on digger's database. Come to find out it was a standard S1 109 that smalljoes had on clearance for $10. Oh well, it is part of the collection now.

Come on 21C, just get me a few Battle of Britain repaints for the Spitfire, and some P-51D repaints with the new tooling (you can even do old schemes you've done before with the first mold), and I'll support you through the hard times...
