These were only made in kit form. I would guess we would've seen these as pre-built if Roy hadn't left. I have 2 of these kits and plan on building one as Hartmann's Tulip G-14 soon.

how are the kits quality? at 12$ it's one if not the cheapest G-14 I've found.
Wish they had done a Ju-87D as a kit.

The kit is nowhere near Hasegawa quality, but the kit will build into a nice 1/32 Bf-109 the same quality as the prebuilts. This kit is the only one of the 1/32 kits not already represented as a prebuilt.

i was thinking when I found it, it's hella cheaper than repainting a 20-26$ 109G-6 pre-built.

So what are the major physical differences between the G-6 & G-14?
They both have the "bumps" on the engine cowling. The only thing I can think of is that the G-14's tail is bigger.
I wish they made a G-10 or K-4 variant with the streamlined engine cowling.

IIRC canopy was changed in the G-14,
Equipped with the "Galland Hood"
also
The Bf 109G-14 incorporated additional changes added to the Bf 109G-6 over the course of its production run, plus added the MW50 injection system which boosted power to 1800 horsepower. The G-14 also made more use of wood in non-critical areas of the airframe in place of metal to help bolster production by adding the power of Germany's woodworking industry in parallel with their metalworks.

it had the galland hood' canopy, taller rudder, the engine cowl bulges were larger and smoother, taller tail wheel......that's about it for the major external changes. Nice looking plane, very similar to the 109K......i think the only difference was it didn't have the squarish wing bulges of the K model.

Late Model Gustavs
My point is that a G-14 wouldn't look any different than Kurt Gabler's Late model G-6? ...correct?

but cheaper to buy the G-14(12$) kit vs the 20-30$ G-6 prebuilt was my point...See the 3rd post.

I agree with your point, but I never mentioned anything about repainting...
I just wanted to know the major physical differences between the G-6 & G-14 model... See my 1st post.

Sorry Didn't mean to jump down your throat.
I didn't really care about the differances between the models(hoped most wouldn't notice, kinda like the differances between early to late Hetzers most don't know the changes in production;) ), but I've been looking at decal kits and reading my Osprey 109 unit histories again(AND Looking at TKO's
GreatPlanes, and I was thinking cheap and didn't want to paint my hackl(my only G I purchased when they were out, and the best of the Gs IMO)..nor fork over 2twice the original price to a ebay pirate..as they are even charging $$$ for the Mosi-chaser...it was just being cheap on my end.
Yellow 17 is the one scheme that has my eye at the moment.

looks like the g14 had either the earlier style cowl bumps or the more smooth rounded cowl bumps of the G10/K model. The one above has the older style bumps.
You can see the galland hood, wider wheels and taller tail however.

No offense taken.
I like the Yellow 17 as well.
It looks like a storm cloud... ominous.

the only 21st kits I can find are of the 109 is a F and G 14...I can't seem to find a G-6 model kit online...did they make a G-6?

No, just the F2 and G14. They also offered the Stuka, Corsair, A6M3, A6M5, Macchi 202 and 205.
Here's a nice review of the ME-109F2:

Good luck, most Walmarts stopped carrying these 9 months ago. You can probably get one online or at your local Hobby Shop (LHS).

Yeah, I didn't even want to try at retail, so I just picked one up online at SmallJoes for 9.99.
Wouldn't mind doing a tulip Hartmann myself.
The model is cheap enough to get some practice on, since I haven't built one in a while.
Then I can eventually start on some 1:32 Hasegawa's and Trumpets, etc.
There's some cool 1:32's you can't get pre-built. Pricier so it's good to get some practice before screwing up an expensive kit.

hell yea..the 32x kits are awesome..prebuilt is just a glance of whats out there on the market.
like Beufighters, Me110s, even B25 and soon Ju88s
LONG LONG ago a defunct company made a hi-tech expensive B24J in 1:32!!

Yeah, even though I'm a junky for 1:18, I really think 1:32 will be the next big thing. In aircraft at least.
I want that Dragon Me-110. I read it was easy and a pleasure to put together.
Lets see Hasegawa and Trumpet make a lot of 1:32 we are missing:
Hellcat
Avenger
P-39
P-38
Oscar
Frank
Typhoon
Mig-3
Mosquito
P-40E
There's more I know.
I've seen a Brewster Buffalo from another maker.
I really think that someone should start making more multi-engine planes in 1:32. Hopefully beyond two engines, but even then there's plenty to choose from.
I think it's the biggest we are going to get.
I'd like to see that B-24 Liberator.

The Dragon 110c-7 and D(Something with the whale belly are great) BUT the price is booku..I mean really 99 on Dragon's online store and higher at a lot of brick and mortars(120.00 at my HobbyTown

, and I thought the AFVs were getting pricey)
On the other hand..and this gives me hope for the Junkers 88A-1(although I would have liked a A-4 which I build in 1/72 10years ago as kid)
I got the Revell's new 110C/B Battle of Brit for 28.00 and it's just as good as the Dragon I consider Price vs Price and Quality wise(plus I had a credit for 20% a kit at my HobbyTown

) and is just as easy to build...sure OOB it's good, could use some aftermarket to make a show-winner if you go that route, but I just want a 110 to go with my other 1/32s....although the I haven't built it(I need to look into the battle/units for a plane to capture)...upon opening it made me want to get the older 110G-2 they put out years ago and I've seen collecting dust at one of independent hobby shop for YEARS..

I got the MiG on Missing Lynx for 15.00 and it's a good kit better than the previous kits at the time..but I don't know how to paint russian camo and hate winterized planes.
There are 4-7 Buffalos in 32, RAF, Dutch, Finn, USMC, USN(pre-war and wartime)
plus french MS.406(IIRC) and Curtis Hawks in Finnish Air Service(also I love the Finnish Air Force, Tough little bastards going against Spits, Laggs, I-16s, and whatever the Red Air Force could throw into the North)
and then you have all the WWI birds..Pfalz, Fokkers, Spads, Neuports.
It is a brave new world for sure.
