FOV LAV 25 Doing Well on EBAY

Post by immeww2 » Wed Mar 23, 2005 8:09 pm

In looking over the FOV stuff being auctioned on EBAY, I noticed that the LAV (light armored vehicle) 25 is getting alot of attention and receiving quite a few bids just like the AAV and Paladin did awhile back. :D

Been following the EBAY auctions for the FOV LAV and it looks like the market got flooded with these vehicles and some of them can't even fetch one bid at their retail price of $19.99. It's funny how things fall out of favor so fast. These LAV's were going for as much as 4 times what they retailed for just several weeks ago. I guess now would be a good time to try and pick up one. :D

As I mentioned in a thread a week or so ago, evilbay is an excellent indicator of when items become available on a broader scale. I used the LAV as an example, I've been seeing smatterings of auctions since just after Christmas, then all of the sudden about 3 weeks ago I see 10-15 auctions on ebay, I then proceed to the closest TRU, and voila..4 Lav's sitting on the shelves, and every other store in my AO had the same amount, or close to. Now I'm hoping to see the Paladin and Amtrack auctions to start ramping up, so I know it's time to check my local TRU..lol
This is the reason I didn't jump the gun early on and buy the LAV/Paladin/AMtrack for 3-4X the msrp, because I knew it was only a matter of time, and indeed, I was correct. Patience pays off in this case, as I'm able to buy 2-3 for the price of what one was going for just a month and a half ago.
