Can't believe I scored one of these on ebay this morning at 7:00AM.

According to the database this and "Double Nuthin'" are the only new tooling P-51D's in the 32X line-up.

Must be super-rare. I've never seen any at retail, or at any online shops.

Anyways I'm happy. :D

Oh yeah..duh, I forgot about the Sharkmouth Brit Mustang.
Got one of those a while back.
They seem to shelf warm at the local Walmarts, but still nice.

I was looking at a few P-51D's that I was missing, and after close inspection of the older ones they all have those nasty giant "building" rivets on them.
I know it's one of the earliest toolings for 21st, but what were they thinking?

I love the new tooling after getting the "Double Nuthin"

Now the only one I want in the Mustang line is the "Cripes O Mighty" Mustang B/C in the dogfight two pack with the Me-262. The B's and C's are as good as the new D.

Small Joes has them for $29 so I'll probably get it there along with one or two other 32X planes I don't have.

The 32x P-51 in the "Mrs. Bonnie" scheme was out all over in my area about 10 months ago at Wal Mart. Several months after that we got the S2 RAF P-51. I've never seen the "Double Nuthin" scheme in person at Target or Wal Mart. The example I have was sent to me by a fellow board member. Either way, the distribution of the 32x P-51s has always been sporadic...

Got the Double Nuthin at Target.

I never saw Mrs. Bonnie on the shelves, and I've been pretty good about getting everything I see, and if it was here, I would have seen it.
Like you say though Tman the distribution is sporadic.
I don't ever remember this one even being at the online stores, and if it was, it was very briefly (must've been the one week I took off from toy hunting) All the Mustangs with the exception of the RAF one are next to impossible to find anywhere now.
Even the B's and C's in the single boxes are getting thin online, and I haven't seen any of those at retail in 3 months or so.

I love Double Nothin'. It is definitely my favorite P-51 with Gentile's Shangri-la and the Polish RAF squadron Mustang a close second and third. I never liked the RAF shark mouth much. It just doesn't look right to me. WalMarts here had a ton of those for quite some time but most are gone now. They have been replaced by truckloads of spitfires and bubble top P-47's.

"Shangri La" is my favorite 32X Mustang. "Double Nuthin" is a close second.

I don't know though. "Mrs Bonnie' could be a cool one. Never saw a loose pic of it yet, so I don't even know what it looks like completely.

So, I got my Miss Bonnie today. I must say a nice looking aircraft to be sure but It's hard to top Double Nuthin.

Still nice. This is the S1 of the new tooling so I'm happy to have it.
Turns out that William D. Dunham was a General by the time he flew this P-51D against the Japanese. He shot down his last kill a Nakajima Frank in it.
Most of his 16 kills were in a P-47. Like to have that Razorback.
