P-39 figure

Post by P39time » Sat Nov 15, 2008 9:28 am

I just got an FOV P-39 Airacobra, and I really like the model. The standing figure that came with the plane has a rather strange hat on. The hat looks nice, but the top of it is painted orange. I know that is not right. Can anyone tell me how this hat should be painted?

So he won't be mistaken for a deer?

Skis on the plane and you can land, dress it, attach it to the bomb racks and be home for dinner.

But I thought that the p-39 had a 37mm cannon. Possibly too large for a moose by 7mm.

My guess would be Olive drab with a black bill and gold for the badge(s).
