Hobby Master to Offer 1:72 US M8 Greyhound and M20 Car

Hi All,
Not to be out done, Hobby Master is showing off their first ever US M8 Greyhound light armored car as well as the M20 armored car. We hope to have pricing shortly and believe these are on track for a January release.

That's great! I'm sure it will be far superior to the Corgi 1:72 Showcase Collection M8.

They really need to follow this up with some other armored cars, like the German 222 and British Humber or AEC.

I'm in complete agreement. There are loads of recon vehicles that need to be replicated in 1:72 scale, not to mention transports such as the Deuce and Opel Blitz.

Hobby Master has been doing a great job with little done WWII vehicles.
the pictures of the new M8 & M20 look great. it really will help round out any diorama

Wow, motorcycles in 1:72 scale!? I think the M8 and M20 will come in at around 2.66 inches. A motorcycle would probably be half that in size. Sure would be nice, but I'm not certain if its within the realm of feasibility.

I seem to recall Airfix actually including a cyclist in one or more of their '50 figure' boxes. I could go for 12 cycles, 12 side car, 12 drivers and 12 riders. They do horses and bicycles.

Motorcycles are absolutely no problem in 1/72 scale, that's why several companies already make them that small in both plastic and metal. Some pictures below...

Wow! Awesome pix Tshintl. Guess 1:72 scale cyclists arent all that difficult to produce.

I think you're going to see alot more items produced in 1:72 scale for 2009 that you might not have expected in an attempt to fill out some of the other aspects of a WWII era combat formation. Personally, I'd like to see some Amtracs, DUKWs and logistical assets, and not just for the major combatants. With Dragon hopefully getting back into the swing of things (I think I see a Sd. Kfz. 251/22 on the horizon) and Hobby Master continually upping the ante, the future looks bright in 1:72.

I dont think the other scales will be left in the dust from what we're hearing thus far...

They're actually listed as 1/76 scale which is just a hair smaller than 1/72 (hardly noticeable though). But they're more 1/72 than 1/76 when you compare them to other 1/72 scale figures.

The pictures are all of AB Figures out of the UK. They're metal and come unpainted with quite a few different motorcycle sets (Fallschirmjager, Wehrmacht, etc.). The first three pictures are of sets that I own and were painted by a friend, he allowed the manufacturer to post them on their site since they look so good. Their web address is:
