Why no BBI F-4J repaints?

Do you guys think we will see any repaints of the BBI 32nd scale F-4J Phantom? I really like this model, and there are so many other schemes out there to do. I wonder why we have not seen a repaint of this awesome model yet?

I think we will eventually, but it seems that BBI is never in any big hurry to issue a repaint.

Yeah, they're pretty slow, but they usually stick to their game plan, which I really like about BBI. They could really cash in on repaints of the F-4 though, seriously. That thing is a potential cash cow at that price and quality, given enough repaints, they could fund all kinds of jets.

I also can't wait to hear about the F-104... One of my favorite birds, I'm eager to see good pictures of it. Here's to hoping they do the Bavarian paintscheme with the cool tail, and the German scheme, and God... all the schemes...

The F-4 has Israeli, German and Japanese potential, all kinds...

Agree, give it time..

Btw, if you're tired of your current F4, you can send it my way.. ;)

Ha, tired? Never. If anything the two planes I'd give up first would be my two Me-262s... God awful mold... I prefer my P-47s and Me-109Es over these things. Someone needs to re-do the 262 in 1:32. They also sit eye level with me... on my speakers, because that's the only place they fit really, they don't go with the tail-sitters and they don't compliment my F-4. At all. At least my antenna wires do them some good. But one 262 is better than no 262, I always have to put that out there.

I'd rather have one outdated mold than none at all.

You can have a quality built 1/32 Me-262 for around $150.

Again, there's that fine line. :D

I'll stick with my toy until I'm rich or something.

You would think BBI would turn them out like sausages, and take advantage of this mold. Funny they only do two to three repaints of each plane they do, and sometimes the repaint is an exclusive.

I do hope to see a camo Vietnam version of the F-4 at least.

I would think if BBI releases a repaint of the F-4J, maybe it will be Duke Cunningham's Showtime 100---I already have the Hobby Master 1/72 version.

I don't think we will see a repaint until these babies hit the big box stores. My substantial gut tells me BBi is building up a good case assortment of releases before they try to get these out to TRU.

Don't hold your breath. I doubt you will see these on the shelves.

Yup. Even though I'm not really into models of modern aircraft I would totally snatch up an F4 if I saw one at TRU. 8)

But with the way the world is going I just really can't see it happening.

Quote of the day. "Don't take hope away from a man. It may be all he has."

:D I am choosing to be positive on this one. BBI 1/32 is too damn cool to be kept in the e-tailer closet. We can't bring new people into the hobby unless they run into something on the shelves.
