non permanent adhesives?

I've recently purchased a Dragon Wing ME262A and an ME262B. The planes have switchable landing gear, up or down. The 262B fit is fine in the up position, but the 262A is loose to the point that it falls off.

Is there any kind of gently, sticky adhesive that wouldn't permanently bond the landing gear? Or any other solution?

BTW, the models are pretty nice and very heavy. Lots of metal.

Try poster tack. Just put a tiny bit of tack inside the plug hole, and insert the landing gear.

white glue on plastic can be undone fairly easy..I used it to tack figures to bases while working on them.

Rubber cement might be gentle enough to hold the gear in place without harming them.

I use the same as Panzer M.. Elmers white school glue is perfect for gluing small parts in place, it dries clear and is not permanent.

I have a few Dragon F-14's and I always have to use poster tack to keep the airbrakes and landing gear door covers on. I have found that the best tacky stuff is the Office DEpot brand that comes in white, not yellow. I've seen the yellow discolor one of my jets. had to repaint. White, no coloration issues.

Yup I use white but it's from Hobby Lobby. Same stuff though more than likely.

There is a tacky glue that model railroaders use that does not dry out, is effectively permanent in that sense, but actually allows you to reposition (excellent for holding hatches/turrets in place) without a problem. If you want to separate the two pieces you can just do so, clean off the glue easily and start anew.
