Will we ever see a Tomcat?

I am a huge F-14 fan, and I wonder if we might see one in 32nd scale one day. What a great looking model that would be.

With the way things are going right now I seriously doubt it. In the future though, who knows.

My gut says no, but I'll keep hoping. The F-14 isn't my favorite modern jet, but I'm supporting any modern jets at this point. A Desert Storm Wild Weasel F-4 could be done by BBI without too much work... Hint... Hint...

I think that 1/32 is going to take off in the future. Lets face it, there are tons of military buffs out there and WM has done good trade in 1/32 toys. I think that BBI will have a big box presence in the future but require a full "line" before they can do so. They have a good start with the F-4, F-104, Dauntless and Wildcat. If they can add a few more I think they will be ready to hit the shelves.

One thing that 21C has never been able to do is release more than a few AC at a time. If I am a kid or a casual buyer my attention span is pretty short. If I have to wait six months for the next release in the line, I would probably forget about it. I have always wondered why 21C even bothers to show AFVs and AC on the back of the boxes when they know that no kid is ever going to be able to find a Zero or Stuka on the shelves. :?

Anyway, if BBI or 21C could ever get cases full of different AC in the same box I think they would see better sales. 8)

I have a speculation: the FoV P-51 and Spitfire were downsized to be 1/72. Therefore the steps could be repeated in a reverse fashion, and the dimensions of their 1/72 Tomcat could be reproduced in 1/32. By the same token, there could also be 1/32 P-40's and Zeroes too...
Maybe that would be a viable technique.

Would be a tad large I suspect. Maybe 1/48 though.
