I haven't made plastic airplane models since the 1970s. I remember a few of the "odder" at the time were a Buffalo, a Hurricane and several others- Italian Macchi 2000(?) and a French plane as well. These cost 69-79c at the time. Italieri(?) or some other brand. These were simple 1/72. For $70, or even $30 I'd expect a working engine and possible flight.

We also made WW1 aircraft and "flew" them from the roof of our building (in NYC) to the roof of the attached parking garage. How'd that go? Not too good! But it was fun.

I want that 1:32 Buffalo in Midway colors from Czec. It's a little high in price right now though.

Thanks for the link. I bookmarked it for future purchases.
