Small Scale Military Headquarters

I noticed that the FOV Tiger 1 Normandy(Not the new one)doesn't have the grenade motors on the side of the turret. Was wondering what would be the easiest mod to create these? also were these introduced on later models in RL and not used in Normandy?

The smoke dischargers were no longer installed after June of 1943, so unless you're trying to model a pre June 43' production Tiger you should leave them off.

No S-mines nor side mounted Nebelwefer(smoke candels) ast Ost said, on mid-late tigers, now I don't know about the Abeitlungs in Normandy if they had early model tigers in their TO&Es still that may have had them retained...I'd have to research the attrition rate on the units.

also I am not sure if the Nahverteidigungswaffe was in wide-spread use in June-Aug. '44 on the Tigers..there were shortages of the launchers for a time, and AFVs had a plate bolted to where it was supposed to go(kinda of the same issue with the remote MG mount..just couldn't make them fast enough in the early productions)

I have a lot of reference books on German armor and one thing I have learned is to never say never. Lots of photos of vehicles with the serial or production numbers showing, especially on Tigers. The caption with the photo will say that according to the build date of the vehicle, it is not supposed to have zimmerit, or grenade launchers, or smoke dischargers, or the type of copula on it, etc., etc. Some of the Tigers would have up to 3 items on it that definitely were not supposed to be on that model. Seemed to be a lot of overlapping or missing features that were or were not supposed to be there.

...never mind the fact that the reference books could be wrong also. I've seen it happen many times before in not only reference books, but historical works posing to be credible, academic history...
