Two Types

In my experience I've noticed two types of interaction with one's models: hands-on, and admiration. I mean hands-on as actively customizing, decking the thing out with stowage, leaves, camo netting, re-painting, even modding to entire different specifications. These are the tanks that you can't wait to break out of the box, and you already have big plans for it. The other type aspect of enjoying a model would be to sit back, and relax, and look at it. You can't really actively mod it, or customize it in terms of variants, but it sure looks good sitting on your shelf. For me, the "hands-on" vehicles would include the StuG, the Abrams, the Sherman, Stuart, Patton, the M16,and the Panther. The "observe" models would be the Challenger II, the King Tiger, the Tiger I's, the Bradley, the Jagdpanther, HIMARS, and the Lee. While these vehicles are great to weather, they just can't achieve the same level of satisfaction through adding on, by making it truly yours. Anyone else feel this way?

What about the take 'em out, admire 'em for awhile, then box 'em with dozens of others.
Then take them out to attack things on the desk, assault across the carpet or simply stand guard over the toilet. Put away as needed....

I think we all need to stop by the house this weekend, BYOB, and watch The View/Oprah marathon all day Saturday. W'eve become way to cold and can no longer see the inner beauty and glow reflecting off our XD. Making it truly yours- was'nt that from a human league song back in the day when I was cool (without XD!!!!!!!!) Sit back/attack-relax/assault-admiration/stand guard- hmm, I just dunno.
I don't need to know how I feel anymore, my wife handles all that stuff, now.
