I was digging up some more about these models and I found a site that have the set for 47$ ,just ordered one

I really love the suicide diver , the japanese sure knew how to make suicide wepons

according to wikipedia suicide divers were actually used in combat a bit. Creative, if nothing else..

This collection only covers kamikaze weapons and the Mitsubishi J8M is an interceptor . What makes this set so intresting is that theres hardly any kits out there for these weapons and I never thought I would see a whole collection with pre-built models

ah, I never assumed the Kikka was going to be a used in a suicidial way, I thought it was being developed as a bomber interceptor.

I know the one example in DC was captured/found without cannon, but I figured it would use 20mm or 30mm cannons in the same config as the 262.

i've never heard of the kikka being intended as a suicide plane. Kind of an expensive and sophisticated piece of technology to use in such a way but i guess its speed and range made it appealing for that role.

The collection isn't just of suicide weapons.....its suicide weapons that would have been used in the defense of the home islands of Japan..

I wonder if the the japanese lacked the technology and competence do develop better mini subs , torpedo boats , and combat frogmen or if they just lacked the time to do it . I know that the lack of experienced pilots made it impossible for the japanese to create a modern naval bomber force that would be a lot more effective than kamikaze attacks

well the Japanese never made a SMG, they copied the Bergmann Mp18 SMG of WWI vintage, but those never saw combat for but a handful on Iwo or Okinawa..most were kept on Japan for home defense.

Same thing about a AT-Gun, the 37mm and 47mm were all the IJA had for the majority of the war.

Thats because the prioritized the navy and the airforce since they knew that those two forces was the key to victory in the pacific , It would also be impossible for the japanese industry to maintain a more modern army .

Well I finally got my set today , unfortunately the set was not complete (the Nakajima Ki-115 is missing ) so now I got two dublets (the two suicide torpedos pictured below) . So if anyone is interested in those two contact me . I'll post some pics later
