Speculation in Anticipation

How do you guys think the new FoV pieces will look? Cool figs? New accessories? I for one would like to see some extra baggage; the Deuce will look nice loaded down, ferrying supplies. Or the Elefant, with a well-crafted commander, moving up with my Gelb StuGs and Dragon Fallschirm. What might you expect, or like, to see?

How about a squad of GIs for the back of the deuce? I have plenty of crates and barrels.

We will get the usual commander/driver figure who looks like he was sculpted and painted by a 2 year old.

That and about two jerry cans and the tan oil barrels. FOV has got to cut costs somehow

Really, really hope the Elefant comes with at least one, hopefully two, well-sculpted figures, with reasonable qc?

Hopefully they won't follow the 21c trend, in which vehicles go to war without it's crew...

Oh god, not more jerry cans and barrels! Especially tan ones.

I agree totally! I was very unhappy when 21st stopped including a commander figure. Oh boy, they saved like 5 cents!

As others have said, I wish FOV would put out a set of tank commanders and crewman. They do make some good figures like the POW set and the wounded soldier and medic but then they make 50 Gumbys. Also if they could give the figures the correct skin color that would be great. I have more than a few German/Mexican tank commanders.

Perhaps a couple of those red/white striped oil drums to really get our motors running?
I've got it! Sandbags and brick wall sections!!!

I don't get it. Why doesn't FoV or 21c add some really authentic additions? I'm thinking chiefly of tarps, blankets, and camouflage netting. Literally all of their vehicles could use these accessories, and they can be packed into vehicles regardless of theater of operation, or era.

Towards the end of the war Germany was starved for manpower. They could not afford to spare troops for border guards and many 'illegal immigrants' snuck across the border and did jobs that Germans would not do, such as being 'cannon fodder' on the Eastern Front. 21st Century has faithfully reproduced figures of those brave volunteers. Be nice.

I always thought it was the overly-dark wash...

I thought the same about alot of FOV stuff.
Esp when you can compare a Dragon Armour 1/35 Elefant vs FOV Elefant.

I think 21C was/is/are meant to be toys. I don't think they ever considered a slightly more mature adult collector audience.

Unfortunately, I tend to agree. That being said, most of the FOV figs tend to look a bit superior to some of the figures that came with 21st vehicles, many of whose faces looked like zombies from a grade B horror flick...techno nazis...

I suppose the debonair, swashbuckling and handsome Nazi figures are made by a company in Austria.
