My late Fw-190 observations

Two steps forward, one step back...
I finally found a decent example of a FW190A that was worth opening, so I happily ripped the box open and started piecing the thing together. While overall it's definitely an improvement over the older 190D mold, there are some things I noticed that really seem silly to have omitted from the newer, more detailed version:
The older paint schemes had a lot of stencilling and extra print details, like the red tabs at the ends of the flaps and rudder. They forgot most of those details here. My poor pilot doesn't know where the first aid box is now....
The loop antenna looks better but it is so thin I worry I'm going to break it the next time I even touch the plane.
The weirdest annoyance is the inner wing cannons - they don't carry all the way through the wheel well. They totally did this for the older ones, and it made for sturdier barrels. Now, it just looks kind of silly when you flip the plane over and there's a big gap from where the shells should be coming out.
The landing gear is definitely an improvement though. The removable ladder is great (and according to my references, angled correctly now) and the movable flaps were a great surprise, since for some reason I don't recall other people pointing them out. I'm just happy to have a decent paint job after scouring far too many Wal Marts. Hopefully I won't have to go back there for a long, long time....
