New at the Motorpool:

The new 1/32 F6F-Vraciu is a big surprise---I didn't see that one coming---especially since BBI released a 1/18 version last year. Unfortunately, I ordered a BBI 1/18 F6F "Cat Mouth" a few days ago and it's on its way now. If I had known about the 1/32 Vraciu, I would have bought it instead of the bigger Cat Mouth.
I would have predicted BBI's next 1/32 Navy model would be a TBF Avenger.

Not cool if you just ordered the 1/18 F6F Cat Mouth.

The 1/18th scale catmouth is a really nice model. I think you will like it.

I think I'll like the new 1/32 F6F Vraciu, too---I'm defintely going to get the new Vraciu and maybe the Dauntless and Wildcat...but I was hoping for an Avenger.

I am most excited about the F4F Wildcat. I have always liked that plane, well then again I like them all.

Finally, a BBI WWII plane with a paint scheme I want...I just hope those pics are of the 1/32 version, and not just 1/18 ones as placeholders, because it looks exactly the same as its bigger cousin...

Hi,
These are the images supplied by the distributor and it does look like the 1:18 scale version. I can only assume they'll post some fresher images once they have a sample in hand. Their sales person did confirm, however, that its a 1:32 scale version due out in November...

Sabrefan,
I believe the Wildcat is still on track for an October release. Lately, however, nothing seems to be written in stone when it comes to ship dates. We'll say for sure when we receive a shipping notification from the distributor.

If what it says is true about the folding wings, I'll be happy. The lack of moving flaps on the Dauntless was a minor disappointment, but non-folding wings would be a major oversight - even considering the difficulties with said wings in other models.

Geez. This must be April Fools in September. Our source is now indicating they made a mistake. There is no 1:32 scale Hellcat. These are in fact images of the 1:18 scale version. Sorry for the confusion guys.

LIGHTNING2000:
It sounds like the sales rep was referring to the batch of 1/18 Vraciu models recently found in China that are now on pre-order.

Hi,
No, the rep confused the name Wildcat with Hellcat. Incidentally, the Wildcat has been pushed back until November.

Snafu, oh well, one day they will probably do one. I mean it's a Hellcat right? the most kills of any fighter aircraft of WWII.
I am just so happy they decided to do the Wildcat first. There would have been no Hellcat if the Wildcat hadn't done such a good job. I mean I don't think we could have fought those Zeros off with Brewster Buffalos for very long.
