New FOV 1:72 models appearing on Ebay
The M3 Lee and Panzer IV ausf. J (I'm gonna get that one) have finally appeared on Ebay so it can't be long now until more new FOV stuff shows up . I'm personally looking forward to the pak40 + hanomag set

Have any of you guys had problem with the tracks on the FOV 1:72 vehicles ? . At least one track have snapped on every FOV model I own (got the t-34 , 122 ,hanomag and Kingtiger) and I just have them on display ( its easily fixed with glue but its still pretty irritating) . I never had this problem with my 1:32 FOV tanks so I guess the 1:72 tracks are to thin to take any pressure . Its not a problem for me since I just have them on display as I wrote but it can't be fun for the kids

Yes, I've had that problem and its not like I ever rolled them very much to begin with. It seemed to happen over time, almost as though the rubber on the tracks dried out and snapped (sort of like an old rubber band.) I was able to repair them in all cases, but I agree it is annoying. Still, unlike most other manufactuers of 1:72 tanks, I like how FOV puts rolling tracks and figures in the hatches on all their tanks. Its a nice touchdemonclaw wrote:Have any of you guys had problem with the tracks on the FOV 1:72 vehicles ? . I found the new M3- Lee and Panzer IV at the Clovis CA TRU today
They appear to come in an assortment with two M3s, two Panzer IVs and two T-34s in the previously released scheme with the #34. All have Enthusiast grade weathering, but not the little extra accessories.
Its funny, as I just got the M-3 on Saturday from Badcat and the version at TRU is exactly the same save no accessories. The Panzer IV is awesome and may just be my favorite of the FOV WWII tanks. I'll post pictures a little later on.

You had certainly better!tmanthegreat wrote:The Panzer IV is awesome and may just be my favorite of the FOV WWII tanks. I'll post pictures a little later on.

I ordered the M3 & Panzer IV a little while ago... can't wait to get 'em. The new Spitfire doesn't seem to be too bad - won't order it because I already have a couple squadrons of them - and the P-51D looks downright awful. They never had trouble making decent tanks though.

Here are some pictures. I see now that the Panzer IV is a little less weathered than I might have indicated before. Still, I think it looks great and its nice to finally have an example of the backbone of the German panzer corps in 1:72 scale! Enjoy
Panzer IV in the new-style box:

Panzer IV J:

Panzer IV with T-34. The T-34 is the first release, which was the same as I found today.

M-3 Lee:

M-3 Lee with the M-3 Grant. FOV replicated the basic differences correctly!

Thanks Tman for the pics. I am tired of seeing the "Kentucky" Lee though. Or did they all have that painted on the side?

The Panzer IV looks great except that it seems to represent a unit that fought with the 12th SS Panzer Division "Hitlerjugend". The sloppily-painted unit numbers give it away. As I am a Canadian, you might understand why I despise that particular Nazi unit.
The M3 looks great too - it IS a shame they decided to release another "Kentucky"... there have got to be at least a few hundred other units they could have released that fought in North Africa. What gives, Unimax?

oh... I am disappointed a little by this model of panzer IV….
if you look at the photographs of presentation : http://www.forcesofvalor.com/product.aspx?pid=280
The quality is not here,! look the detail, painting, the camouflage… the missed mud...
a missed released I find…
I would await the next dragon armor: stug III with schurzen!!

I, too, am disappointed by the Pz IV. It's still worth picking up a couple for $10, but the general lack of 'finesse' with the detailing of the model is a real minus. It's not up to par with my old Matchbox (CDC reissue) Pz IVs, or even Admiral's Pz III M w/schurzen. I also think the Enthusiast version will be the one to get with this one, as it is in desperate need of some weathering!
Makes we wish that Dragon and/or Easy Model will get to their Pz. IVs soon!

Awesome pics, Tman! Love the new package, looks like they are combining the enthusiast edition package with the new repackaged 1:32 infantry sets.
So I finally went to TRU today and found them all there waiting for me, but as usual when I checked on the price scanner, they were not in the TRU price database...... -yet again.
Only the T-34s were registered at $9.99.
Anyways, I went to the checkout, ready to deal with another agonizing price check ordeal, but lo and behold, they ringed up as $5.00 each!!
The cute cashier had ringed them up each as "Mini Teen Titans - $5.00" on the screen.
I tried to correct the mistake and told her they should all be $9.99 each, but she said the computer database gave her a different price for the tanks, but she said it was ok to let it slide as long as I promise I don't return it back, so I was glady okay with it.
Then she asked me if there were anymore left and told me I could get more at the same price,
so I immediately made a mad dash back to the military toys section to clean up the rest of the 1:72 tanks left.
In total, I picked up 2 T-34s, 2 Panzer IVs, and 1 M3 Lee.
I've no idea how DC toys could've got mixed up with FOV, but I'm happy with TRU for once.

Regarding the Panzer IV: I'm sure the Enthusiast version looks better. When I get mine in the next month or so I'll post photos so we can compare the two versions.

The question that concerns me: does Forces of Valor just shrink 1/32 models into 1/72? Because everything seems the same for the Challenger, Lee, Grant, Mustangs, Spits, etc. Do they just change the measurements for the models to fit the new scale?
Also, will they just blow up the scale for the new 1/16 Sherman like they did to the Bravo Team stuff? Cuz if they just scale swap we won't be seeing much new models.
