Giving up on Wally, time to go to a dealer

Five Wallys in three days - no Spitfire, clearance military, or anything else new that I can see. Everything's been MOVED around, and there are some colored cardboard backings on the shelves, but no new products. And all the shelf/peg space allocated for military is full so it's not likely anything new will appear soon. I wonder why Wally even stays in the toy business year round, they don't seem to care what's stocked and what's not. Just make it a Christmas department, that's the only time they put any effort into it.

I share in your frustration! No hopes of seeing the Spits or Dual packs any time soon or at all. Discounts have started, however, though with different products at different stores. One, for example, had the aircraft and 1:18 figures discounted. Another just the armor, with the rest of the stores having nothing discounted.

The 1:32 Spitfires are finally hitting around here. Though it's frustrating to not see any of the planes that have already been out for a while like the FW-190's "Black 7" and "Red 9".
I finally got fed up with waiting and ordered at least "Black 7" FW-190, a couple of Me-109E's that I was missing, and the British P-40B from Small Joes.
Always had good luck with those guys. Fair prices, and low shipping costs.
When I've got some more cash, I'll order some more 1:32's I'm missing like "Red 9" FW-190, the "Cripes a mighty" P-51C and Me-262 Dogfight pack, and maybe a Thunderbolt.
I'm still missing the 1:32 "Eagleston" and Checkered tail P-47's which Small Joes doesn't have. I'll have to order them from someone else.

Don't give up yet. The Spits just showed up here.

The WalMarts here gave 1:32 a pretty big section in their resets. I found the heavy artillery II set at my neighborhood WM today as well which is great because all we've had for months were Kursk and Torch sets.
Also, even though I haven't seen any P-51D's yet (grrr) there are Spitfires all over the place so I'm hoping this trend of more 21st at WM continues.
BTW, what's up with the gummy plastic parts on the howitzer?

The closest Walmart to me has absolutely nothing in the line of military...unless you count out Star Wars. Even the pet department is larger than the toy aisle. They used to sell some Corgi small scale stuff, but now they have nothing at all.

Yeah I liked the Corgi stuff. I have an F-18, F-16 and an F-4 and they are pretty nice considering they were only like three bucks each. They had armor too. I was sad to see those go a while back.

My local AO clearanced all the ME-109s, Marders and Hetzers to make way for the red 19 FW and the RAF Mustang. I expect I will see the Spitfires in about 12 months...

Theres still oodles of Marders at all the WalMarts here. We never did get a single Hetzer though. I got that one from Small Joes.
