Hopefully, this isn't a sign of things to come as the 1/32 stuff was always a pretty good seller unlike the 1/18 stuff (planes/vehicles).

Bad news at Walmart?
Went to my local Walmart this am and found no 1/32 product on the shelves! I noticed they were resetting shelves so I walked over where the clearance stuff is set and there they were. The plane(s) were marked down to $13.00 and the playsets were also.. I did get the last plane (Fw-190) though and it looks like I will need to make a trip to other Walmarts to see if they are doing the same.

This Walmart had Spitfires/"Red 19" 190s and RAF Mustangs.Rowsdower wrote:hworth18 wrote:Went to my local Walmart this am and found no 1/32 product on the shelves! Maybe they are just trying to get rid of older stock? I know every WM here has a ton of Marder III's and 38T's that are collecting dust. Hopefully an anomaly.

I wouldn't worry too much about the clearance sales. I've seen WM clearance something and then turn right around and put the same item back on the shelves after the clearance stock sells out. They did this with some of their 1/6 21C weapon sets earlier this year. I bought a whole bunch of the MG-34 weapon sets for $3. They have them back on the shelves now for $7.88. Also from what I understand the 1/18 BOB figures on sale 3 for $9.98 at KBToys are liquidation stock that KB acquired from WM.

I hope this is so. I don't remember any of my Walmarts ever clearancing 1/32 planes though.. This is a first in my AO.kduck wrote:I wouldn't worry too much about the clearance sales. One of the local stores has reset and they only have 1/32 planes, 1/18 figures, 1/48 planes and armor and 1/144 plane two packs labeled.hworth18 wrote:Went to my local Walmart this am and found no 1/32 product on the shelves! Well, hopefully it is just an one-time occurance. I'll be pretty darn annoyed if Wal Mart starts getting rid of their 32x products when there are still several planes (including the Spitfires) that have yet to make it to my local stores.
Then again, a clearance would help get rid of the gobs of 32x Bf-109Fs still sitting around. Those were a plane 21c should have never restocked

Which restock? First, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh? I have 109s coming out of my ying yang; I bought them for storage, then for sale, then for gifts and still haven't reached the bottom of the bucket.tmanthegreat wrote:Then again, a clearance would help get rid of the gobs of 32x Bf-109Fs still sitting around. I'd happily send you the whole batch, save that the Wal Mart restocks of Bf-109s were all F-series planes - "Black 10" and "Yellow 4" to be exact.hworth18 wrote:BTW,
I am looking for a couple of 109G-6's, and they must be "G-6s" NOT F's.
Can trade or purchase for those of you with these sitting on the shelves.
When they first showed up after the "Mrs. Bonnie" P-51Ds and "Red 9" FW-190Fs cleared out, I was annoyed to hell. The Bf-109s, including the said two, came out first in my area during the 2006/2007 Holiday season. The local collectors got their pick and fill. The planes then persisted in one assortment or another throughout the rest of 2007, with the last finally disappearing around October 2007. Then in February, back again.
I would have been OK with the 109s if there was a more varied assortment or new repaints, but that was not the case and the rest of the country got the really good stuff
Can anyone tell I hate Wal Mart and the 21c marketers?
